Real Story

INTRODUCING JJ

Age: In his early-30s

Nationality: American

Hair characteristics: Thin and straight hair

TREATMENT OVERVIEW

Hair transplant techinique: Forhair FUE with SLIT implantation

Haircut style: Partial shave

Graft count: 1,200

Hair goal: Filling in the temple corners to restore the hair-line

Selected hairline design: Straight (with subtly receded corners)

Treatment plan: His hair loss was not too severe, but due to his naturally thin hair, even a small amount of hair loss resulted in visibly reduced hair volume. Additionally, the recession at the temple corners altered the shape of his forehead and reduced volume in the front, limiting daily styling options. The treatment plan focused on subtly lowering the hairline to a point where only a few hairs remain, using 1,200 grafts to achieve natural-looking results while preserving donor hairs, with consideration for his future hair loss (male pattern).

FUE SURGERY DAY

Recipient area: The grafts are implanted in the target area as designed with high density. These grafts, depicted as white balls, will transform into scabs within a day or two and are to be removed on post-op day 14.

*Partial shave: Only selctected donor area will be shaved into small squares. The size of the shaved area varies depending on the number of required grafts for the surgery.

1 MONTH after FUE hair transplant

Most of the transplanted hair shed around post-operative week 3, leaving the recipient site temporarily empty. A few transplanted hairs remain and are still growing, resulting in a patchy appearance. It's also normal for one side to be sparser than the other. The redness at the recipient site has improved but is still healing and will gradually fade over time.

6 MONTHS after FUE hair transplant

All the new hair has fully emerged around 6 months post-op, forming the designed new hairline. While styling the new short hair can be challenging, it provides sufficient volume in the front. The new hair is growing thicker and longer in the coming months

12 MONTHS after FUE hair transplant

Final result: The new hairs have successfully grown into mature, thick strands. In the early stage of hairline recession, with a relatively small number of 1,200 grafts, the hairline has been restored, and his front and side profiles have improved greatly. The new hair is growing just like the original hair, following its natural direction. As the new hair blends with the original hair, it enhances the overall natural-looking appearance.

With the newly gained hair in the front, he can now wear a side part or style his hair back, exposing his full hairline.
