FORHAIR FUE Patient Guide
Surgery Day
• Wash your hair thoroughly before you come in. After shampooing, please rinse thoroughly.
• Do not apply any hair product (spray, gel, serum, etc.) to your hair.
• Do not wear makeup including tinted sunscreens or BB creams.
• If you're wearing contact lenses, prepare a pair of glasses for emergency use.
• Be certain to eat a light breakfast. Some people who have local anesthetic on an empty stomach feel faint.
• Wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing: a shirt with buttons in front or a zip up jumpers are usually best. It is advised that you do not wear any clothing that can come in contact with surgery areas(head).
• Wear socks: op room is cold.
• When you arrive, we will provide you with a surgical gown (top & bottom). If you'd like to wear an inner, make sure it is a wide open neck top to avoid possible blood stains on collar.
• Do not wear any fashion accessories.
• A black beanie will be provided to cover bandages after the procedure and it will be removed the next day. You do not need to bring your own hat.
• Payment: remaining balance for your surgery should be fully paid to begin the procedure. If you're using an credit/debit cards, your balance and daily or monthly limit needs to be checked beforehand.
• Driving or flying home the day of your procedure is not recommended, even if you have a companion. Public transport is recommended.
Uber in Korea: use the regular Uber app and it’ll change to UT once you register or download KakaoT app
• Bring your passport if you're eligible for tax refund.
• Do not bring any valuables to the office.
• Be on time for your appointment. In case, you're running late, make sure you contact your consultant/advisor.
• STEPS:
getting changed > entering surgical center > preparation for surgery > consultation with your surgeon (design) > operation
• We use local anesthesia. You will be fully awake during the procedure.
• You can watch Netflix.
• Books, tablets, laptops and phones are not allowed inside the OP rooms. However, you may use your phone during the lunch break.
• You can monitor progress of the procedure on the screen next to TV.
• Lunch will be provided and break for 30 minutes.
• We advise patients to head back home/room to have a good rest after the procedure.
• You will be released from the clinic with your head bandaged and a beanie placed.
• Removal of the bandages/beanie appointment will be scheduled the next day.
• You can take a shower.
• Sleeping position: using the provided post-op pillow, you should sleep on your back.
• Post-op medicine: please take them as guided.
In need of extra painkiller, you can take tylenol: no more than 2 tablets a day.
